Dana: Natalie.

Natalie: What?

Dana: I'm going with you.

Natalie: Why?

Dana: I'm need someone to pull me off of Dan and Casey after I kick their butts.

Natalie: Awesome.

-----

Dan: I am no longer a priority in your life. I'm not your primary, secondary, or tertiary priorities in your life. You just completely ignore me.

Dana and Natalie emerge from the elevator and into the lobby. Dana looks ready for battle.

Rebecca: What is this?

Dan: What?

Dan turns around and notices Dana and Natalie are now standing next to Casey.

Rebecca: You guys are going to gang up on me?

Dana steps forward to say something, but Casey puts his arm out and stops her. Casey and Dana make eye contact, and Casey shakes his head 'no.'

Rebecca: Don't call me, I'll call you.

Dan: Fine.

Rebecca: Fine.

Rebecca storms off in the opposite direction.

Rebecca turns around and storms toward the four.

Casey: Watch out.

Rebecca mashes the elevator button and the doors immediately open and she steps inside. She mashes a couple of buttons while inside and the doors close quickly- she will ride the car up alone.

Casey puts his arm around Dan, while Natalie holds his hand.

Casey: It will be all right.

Natalie: I'm sorry, Dan.

Dana: Danny, you okay?

Dan: I'm okay. Sorry about the run down guys. Let's get the next elevator and do a great show.

Dana: Let's have a great show.

Dana pushes the button next to the elevator.

-----

Kim: (over intercom) Ten minutes. First team to the studio.

Everyone starts to work their way toward the studio.

Isaac and Jeremy enter the control room together.

Jeremy: Are they coming?

Isaac: They better be.

Jeremy: What are we going to do?

Isaac: I'll worry about that later.

Jeremy: When?

Isaac: In about nine minutes.

Suddenly, the all lights go out. Everything is in the dark. The emergency lights quickly turn on.

Jeremy: How about now?

Isaac: Now would be a good time.

Kim: Guys, what are we going to do?

Elliott: Pray.

Isaac: Kim, get me building maintenance. Chris, check to see if we are the only floor affected. Jeremy, see if we can have something prepared in case we're not up in... Dave?

A watch lights on on Dave's wrist.

Dave: I've got eight and twenty.

Isaac: Okay, everybody. Let's do it.

Everyone starts to scramble in the dark.

-----

We only see darkness, but we can recognize the voices.

Dana: What's going on?

Casey: The power's out.

Dana: Brilliant observation.

Casey: Thank you.

Dan: Where's the phone?

The emergency light kicks on and we find everyone inside the stopped elevator car.

Dan reaches over and picks up a phone.

Dan: (into phone) Hey, it's Dan Rydell. There are four of us inside the elevator here.

Natalie: I've got seven-and-a-half minutes.

Dana: Oh, geez.

Dan: (into phone) How soon? (listens) Okay. We'll keep in touch. (hangs up the phone)

Dana: Well?

Dan: I've got good news and I've got bad news.

Casey: Good news, first.

Natalie: Bad news.

Dana: Good news.

Dan: The good news is that we'll probably get out of here tonight.

Natalie: Probably?

Casey: That's good and bad news.

Dana: My god- the show.

-----

People are running around in the dimly lit control room. Suddenly, all the lights come back on. A collective cheer can be heard throughout the control room and the set.

Isaac: Let's get back on track, people. Dave?

Dave: I've got five and change.

Isaac: Good. Anybody hear anything from Dan, Casey, Dana... and Natalie? Four people?

Will: (flipping switches on the control board) Nothing yet.

Dave: (over intercom) Four minutes to VTR, five minutes live.

Jeremy: Isaac?

Isaac walks over to Dana's chair and takes the intercom mic.

Isaac: (into mic) Okay, everybody. I'm saying this once, so everybody pay attention. Dan and Casey are not here, yet. Let's plan on doing the show without them. I'll be the anchor tonight. Kim, you are executive producer. Jeremy, get on the phone with A.J. at the Garden and tell him to get his butt over here A.S.A.P. to help co-anchor tonight. We're going to make this happen smoothly people. Let's do it.

-----

Dan hangs up the phone inside the elevator, while Casey, Natalie, and Dana are sitting on the floor.

Dan: There's water leaking in the electrical area in the basement. They're restoring the floors one-by-one. It'll probably be fifty minutes before we get going.

Dana's chin drop to her chest.

Dana: Oh god.

-----

Back in the studio, we see Isaac sitting on the set and having makeup applied to him by Alyson. Kim has the headset on and everyone is being very brisk and professional.

Kim: Let me hear Sarah in St. Louis. Great.

Chris: 12 is up and ready.

Will: We going with Dan's intro?

Kim: Yes. Too late to change it. Let me hear L.A.

Dave: (over intercom) Sixty seconds VTR, two minutes live.

Elliott: Got 3, 8, and 11 ready.

Kim: Wonderful. Where's Jeremy?

A hand weakly comes up from behind the desk.

Jeremy: Right here.

Kim: Are you all right?

Jeremy sits up and is holding a bag in his hand.

Jeremy: Anxiety attack. I think I'll be okay. (pauses) No, I won't.

Jeremy goes back below the desk.

Kim: Somebody get a nurse in here.

Elliott: I'm on it..

-----

Isaac: It's been a while, Alyson.

Alyson: You still look good.

Isaac: Thank you. I bet you've never had so much makeup to put on somebody in a while.

Alyson: No. The company is good, too.

Isaac: I'm too old for this.

-----

Back to the stopped elevator.

Dana: They're starting the show without us.

Casey: Hopefully.

Dana: They would wait for us?

Dan: They might not have power.

Dana: Oh god.

Casey: It will be all right.

Natalie: Are you okay Casey? You look uncomfortable.

Casey: I'm in just a little bit of pain.

Dana: What did the doctor say?

Casey: It's an infection.

Dana: What kind?

Casey: Epididymitis.

Natalie: What's that?

Casey: An infected testicle. I'm treating it with antibiotics.

Dana: My god, how serious is it?

Casey: I caught it early, so the prognosis is excellent.

Dan: There was a concern it might have been cancer.

Dana: Casey!

Casey: Everything's all right.

Dana: Do Charlie and Lisa know?

Casey: I didn't tell them, yet. Lisa is angry with me anyway.

Natalie: What was this about you and Lisa?

Casey: She's angry because I canceled dinner with her tonight.

Dana: Tell her to get over it.

Dan: I just don't understand.

Casey: What?

Dan: How you can be so patient and understanding with her?

Casey: We used to be married.

Dan: But she is so cold and unfeeling.

Dana: She can be.

Casey: But I know she loved me.

Dan: How? Being married doesn't necessarily mean you love someone.

Natalie: And you can love someone without being married.

Dan: (to Natalie) You're not helping. (to Casey) I mean, how did you know?

Casey: I knew after we had been dating for two years.

Dana: It took that long?

Natalie: How did you know?

Casey: We went shopping for Christmas gifts one weekend. We were buying things for family and friends, and we were checking things out for each other. At the end of the outing, Lisa got real quiet.

Dan: So?

Casey: She looked at me, and I knew she was really nervous because she was mumbling on and was asking me to forgive her for being crazy.

Dana: And?

Casey: She said she never felt this comfortable with someone.

Natalie: What did you do?

Casey: I kissed her and told her I loved her, too.

Isaac are delivers the stories and highlights with confidence and a smile. We see Kim talking into the headset while Chris, Will, Elliott, and Dave talk to each other and flip various switches and press different buttons. We notice A.J. has made it to the studio and it sitting alongside Isaac. Jeremy has recovered to a point where he is assisting Kim in producing the show.

The lights kick back on in the elevator, and the car and its occupants start to move upward.

The show is wrapping up, and we can see Dave say, "We're out." Kim throws off her headset and hugs Jeremy. Chris, Will, Dave, and Elliott all shake hands. A.J. gives Isaac a firm handshake. Everybody starts cheering and celebrating. Dana, Casey, Natalie, and Dan walk into the control room and take in the excitement and accomplishments of the Sports Night crew.
